X2 visa

Hello, I am going to study chinese language for 1 semester or around 5 months and i am planning to apply again for undergraduate programs after i finish my chinese language program. Do i need x1 visa or x2 visa? If it's x2 visa do i need to apply for a new x1 visa after i return to my home nation?
