24 Hour Visa on arrival in Shenzen/ Hong Kong Border

Hello I am planning a trip where I start of in Hong Kong in the morning, use a train to get to Shenzen and the same afternoon fly out from Shenzen-Beijing-London on one ticket. Is this possible or will I be turned around?

Hi, the 24-hour visa-free transit is generally eligible when you reach Shenzhen by air. Taking a train is not available.
