The night shuttle bus operates till one hour later after domestic flights end and the stops include Deshengmen, Drum Tower, Yonghe Temple, Dongzhimen, Temple of Heaven, and Beijing Railway Station.
As for areas to stay, Drum Tower is close to the Shichahai Hutong area; around Yonghe Temple, there are also many hotels; living beside the Temple of Heaven, you can get up early to see locals doing morning exercise... It depends on your preference.

1. It's just called Yonghe Temple Line and Wangjing Line.
2. It's hard to say because there are often flights arriving later than planned due to bad weather and traffic control. But you should be on time to catch the night bus. Yuo are not too late yet for that INTERNATIONAL airport.
