There are many sections of Great Wall. I assume that you mean the most famous Badaling Great Wall in Beijing. First, you need to take a bullet train or flight to Beijing. It generally takes about 4-6 hours by bullet train and costs CNY 450- 550 for a second class seat. If taking a plane, a 2h flight journey costs CNY700-1500 for an economy class seat.
Upon arrival in Beijing, you can take a high speed train from Beijing North Railway Station to Badaling Great Wall. It takes about 30 min and costs CNY25. Please note that there are only two departures from BJ North to Badaling, respectively at 08:43 and 11:46. Advance train tickets booking is very necessary.
From airport, you can also travel to the railway station to take a train or to Deshengmen to take the direct bus no. 877.
