About:Chinese Temporary Residence Permit

X2 Visa

Hi,

I will start one semester study from mid-august to the end of december at Ningbo with a X2 Visa. I have planned to apply for a Temporary Residence Permit in order to able able to travel across Asia (and so be able to come back to China) during the semester.

With this context, I have 2 questions:

1) How long does it takes to obtain the Temporary Residence Permit ? (Days ? Or month(s) ? )
2) Do I need a Physical Examination ?

1. Generally, for X2 visa holders, it is not necessary to apply for a temporary residence permit. You can only enter and exit China once.

2. It generally takes about 3-5 working days to apply for a temporary stay permit.

3. Yes, a physical examination is necessary.
