About:Visa on Arrival

Visit for the day

I would like to visit Shenzhen for the day, travelling by train from HongKong, on an Australian passport. Is it necessary to get a 5 day visa or is there a daily pass ?

Yes, you do need to obtain a 5-day visa on arrival and you are eligible for the 5-day VOA. However, it is not possible to get by train. The only way is to take a ferry from HK to Shenzhen Shekou or Luohu or Huanggang Ports. Shekou is more recommended as you may wait for a shorter time. The opening hours are generally 9:00 - 13:00 & 14:30 - 16:30 at Shekou.
