About:Chinese Temporary Residence Permit

X1 Visa

If my X1 visa expires a few days after entering the country, will I still have the 30 day period to apply for a student residence permit? Or am I supposed to apply for one before it expires ( which would be impossible because my student registration is early September)
Will I have trouble entering the country if my X1 visa expires so soon after entering the country?

Additional context: My X1 expires late august while student registration is early September

Don't worry, the 30 days period will be counted since the day you arrive. It is okay for you to enter before the visa expires and there will be no problem for you to apply for a student residence permit within the 30 days.
