24-hour visa-free transit permit at Pudong airport

We are flying from Hong Kong to Jeju Korea transit at Pudong Shanghai. We are taking a connecting flight and may need to check out and check in again at Pudong Airport at the same terminal. Do we need to apply for a 24-hour visa-free transit permit ? If so, where and how to apply for that?

Hi, you are completely eligible for the 24-hour visa free transit. You don't need to apply for any permit if you don't exit the airport and you can just transit without a visa.
