About:Visa on Arrival

Filipino are not eligible for VOA

My Filipino friend cannot get VOA even she has china visa history. The officer at the huanggang port say their computer system cannot process Filipino passport, ask my friend to go back to HK visa centre to do her visa. Filipino is not eligible for VOA.

Please update this on your website as what it was written about Filipino passport is incorrect.

Actually we have informed many Filipino citizens of the fact of their ineligibility. Since the regulations are changing rapidly since the re-introduction of this visa, it is almost impossible to regularly update the website because if it is updated today with the fact that Filipino citizens are ineligible, it is possible that tomorrow the situation will change. So, the situation is volatile and it is in general suggested that only the citizens from 53 countries, that are usually eligible for 144 hour visa free transit, apply for this visa.
