About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit in Guangdong

Singapore-Guangzhou-Hong Kong-Singapore

Hi, I hold Singapore passport but unable to get a work (M) visa to enter China in time this weekend for a 4-day work trip to Guangzhou. The situation at our local visa centre is inpossible. Firstly, is Singapore eligible for the 144hr visa-free transit in Guangzhou? I read somewhere online that SIN-CAN is only 72hr visa-free transit instead. If yes, does the Singapore-Guangzhou-Hong Kong-Singapore route via flights in and out of Baiyun Intl airport work?

Singaporean citizens are definitely eligible for 144 hour visa free transit in entire Guangdong province. It used to be 72 hours, but it was replaced by 144 hours several years ago.

Also, your itinerary, as you have presented it, is perfectly eligible for this visa free transit option.
