About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Sri Lankan transiting through Guangzhou

Hello
I plan to travel from Sydney to Amsterdam with a 6 hour transit at Guangzhou airport Terminal 2. I do not wish to leave the airport. Do I have to apply for a transit visa or am I eligible for the 24 hour TWOV?

Thilaka,

There are no issues at all since your total transit time in China is less than 24 hours. In other words you are eligible for 24 hour visa free transit since your entire transit time within mainland China will be less than 24 hours. So, you do not need any kind of visa.
