Re: Visa entry into mainland China

Re: Entry questions into China.
Dear Sir/Madame:
I'm holding a valid Canadian passport and a L visa valid for 10 years until 31 March 2017.
1. Do l need an invitation letter from a Chinese citizen if l intend to pay a visit to mainland China ?
2. Do l need to get a Nucleic Acid Test within 48 hours before boarding?
3. Do l have to present a return ticket or onward ticket at the port of entry, e.g Kunming? I am currently traveling in Malaysia intending to travel in China.
4. How long will l be allowed to stay in China once approval is granted ?

Expecting to hear from you soon. Thank you kindly.

Kelvin Ho.

1. Since your previous visa has turned invalid in 2017, you need to apply for another one to enter China. If you don't submit hotel bookings or flight info, an invitation letter will be required.
2. You need to do it. But since April 29, an Antigen test at home is fine. Just fill in the result here bofore departure: htdecl.chinaport.gov.cn
3. No, it's uncessary to do that.
4. It depends on the duration of stay on your visa. Usually, it's 30 days.
