Visa on arrival at shenzen

Hi I am an australian planning to go to shenzen for 5 days via Hong Kong, can I apply for visa on arrival in Shenzen?

You can do that, but you will apply for this visa at one of the border crossings between Hong Kong and Shenzhen. Usually, the best border crossings for this type of visa are Luohu (Lo Wu) and Huanggang. Please, have in mind that visa offices are open just until 16:30.

Also, with this visa your movements are limited just to the administrative boundaries of Shenzhen city.
