Visa On Arrival application procedure

Hi, I am a Malaysian working in HK and I plan to visit Shen Zhen for a one-day-trip during weekend. Is it possible that I apply for the visa without entering Shen Zhen on the same day? For instance, I apply and receive the visa on a Saturday, head back to HK and only enter Shen Zhen on the next day (Sunday)?

As far as the Malaysian citizens are concerned, recent information say that they are eligible only if they have been issued a Chinese visa before or in other words, if they have some old (used) Chinese visa in their current or used passports. Hopefully, this situation will be cleared soon and they will be able to obtain a Shenzhen visa even without such prerequisite.

The answer on your second question is negative. No, you cannot obtain a visa and return to Hong Kong and use it later. When you have obtained a Shenzhen visa, you have to enter within Shenzhen administrative borders immediately.
