About:Visa on Arrival

Sg passport holder go Shenzhen from HK in May and travel to Shenzhen need visa?

I hold a singaporean passport. I plan to go HK in May and travel to Shenzhen for 1day from HK. Do I need visa? Or the VOA? Thank you

For you as a Singaporean citizen, if you intend to visit Shenzhen only, the best option is Shenzhen 5 days VOA. However, you should be aware that this visa allows you to stay just within the city administrative boundaries only.

The best option is to travel to Luohu (Lo Wu) border crossing, but keep in mind that visa office is open only until 16:30. After your stay in Shenzhen, you can return to Hong Kong by any mean of transport and by taking any border crossing, high speed train included.

Hopefully, the Chinese authorities will restart the visa waiver for Singaporean citizens as it was the case before the pandemic outbreak.
