About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

would i be elligible flying from canada to macau

hello would we be elligible for the 144 hours visa free ? from canada to macau staying for 4 days and then crossing the border to zhuhai (6 nights)and then going to hong kong - satying 1 night and then going on cruise

You don't need a visa or any kind of visa free transit scheme for your stay in Macau because Macau has its separate immigration and visa policy, quite independent from mainland China. In other words, you can travel to, from and stay in Macau visa free. It is another thing if you travel to Macau through some of mainland Chinese airports, for example:

Toronto - Shanghai - Macau

In this case, you can also travel visa free, but by relying on 24 or 144 hour visa free transit in Shanghai area.

In any case, you can stay in Macau for up to 30 days visa free.

You can also cross the border from Macau to Zhuhai by applying for Zhuhai visa on the border crossing between Macau and Zhuhai, but you should be aware that Zhuhai visa on arrival allows only 3 days of stay in Zhuhai.

After your three days in Zhuhai you can depart for Hong Kong.
