About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit in Guangdong

144 visa for South Korean

Hi,
Is it okay to travel from Incheon Airport to Hong Kong airport and take a ferry to the mainland China without exiting Hong Kong Airport? My final destination is Zhongshan for 4 days

No, unfortunately. The only way how you can enter Guanghzou and become eligible for 144 hours visa free transit is by taking a nonstop flight from Hong Kong to Guangzhou. Simply speaking, only the entrances by air to Guangzhou and/or Shenzhen are qualified for this visa free option.

Also, you should be aware that you can exit from Guangdong province by ferry, but not to Hong Kong because that would be a return trip, but to nearby Macau. So, flying from Hong Kong to Guangzhou and exiting by ferry (a ticket has to be pre-booked through TurboJet ferries website) to Macau will make you a person in transit and also eligible for 144 hours visa free transit.

Please, you should aslo adopt correct terminology because this is not 144 hours visa, but 144 hours visa free transit, so there is no visa at all.
