144 Hour Visa Ok?

Megan, of course it is. Anyway to be eligible for 144 hours visa free transit in Guangzhou or better to say, entire Guangdong province, your itinerary has to satisfy two conditions:

- You have to fly from Hong Kong to Guangzhou by direct (nonstop) flight. So, only the arrival by air considered eligible.
- Your flight from Guangzhou (here you can use Shenzhen as well) to Taiwan has to be also a direct (nonstop) one.

If you do this, you will be qualified for 144 hours visa free transit in the entire Guangdong province.

Thank you. One more question. We are a party of 3. 2 of us already have a 10 year visa but there is not enough time to get the 3rd a full visa. Will they allow only 1 of us to get the 144 hour visa? Thanks so much for the info and help!

Of course... This approach is strictly individual. So, two of you will enjoy the stay based on your 10 year visa and the 3rd one will enjoy her/his stay based on 144 hours visa free transit. This is valid also if three of you travel on the same ticket. Nothing to worry about.
