About:China Visa on Arrival

Shenzhen & Zhuhai VOA

Hi,

I am an Indonesian passport holder and I have a Chinese Visa before in 2016 & 2018. My flight is to Hong Kong. My questions are:

1. Can I get the VOA in Zhuhai from Macao, spend 1 or 2 days in Zhuhai, then go back to Hong Kong?
2. From Hong Kong, can I get a VOA in Shenzhen, spend a few days and go back to Hong Kong again?
3. Do my VOA will be 100% guaranteed accepted and not rejected?
4. What is the requirements that I need to prepare and bring for the VOA?

Thank you for the reply and explanations.

1. Yes, you can.
2. Yes, you can.
3. Yes, it does and it will not be rejected. By the way, it will be 99.99% guaranteed because nobody can guarantee a 100%... Anyway, in the wake of opening Jakarta to Bandung high speed railway, I am more that certain that Indonesians will be treated in a favorable way, but again, if they have a proof of being granted a Chinese visa before (in the past).
4. You will need your (old) passport with a Chinese visa issued before and also you will need a PCR or antigen test before you approach the border crossing.

Thank you for your reply and explanation.

There are some question I need to ask again:

1. Do I still need a PCR or antigen test before approaching the border crossing even if I have been vaccinated 3 times for Covid?
2. Where can I have the test? Is there one around the Port where we apply for the VOA? How much it cost?
3. If the result come back negative then I can cross the border right? What happen if the result come back positive?
4. Do I need to do the test again before entering back to Macau or Hong Kong?

Thank you very much

1. Yes, you still need to do it.
2. I'm not quite clear. Maybe you can consult the hotel staff in HK.
3. You can cross the border if it is negative. If positive, you will be rejected. In the case, you need to stay in HK for more days and try to cross the border after the test shows negative.
4. No, it is not necessary.
