About:China Family Reunion Visa

As an American, am I required to return to the USA to complete the Q visa process?

I'm currently traveling in South America, and I would like to apply for the Q visa at one of the Chinese embassies here or in Hong Kong. As an American, am I required to return to the USA to complete the Q visa process?

You may try your luck at one of the China Visa Offices in South Africa. Although the success rate is not as high as in your home country, it will save you much trouble and money if you are lucky enough to obtain it there.
