About:China Visa Application in UK

I am trying to complete the Visa Application Form.

I have been retired for the past 28 years and am trying to complete the Visa Application Form. The questions ask about my work over the past five years, with details and dates. I would like to type in 'Not Applicable' , but the form still asks for answers, with red boxes. Please help?

I have just filled that part for my husband i found out you N/A in employment details and your telephone number where it asks you for phones numbers it seems to have worked.
