About:Chinese Temporary Residence Permit

I am a US citizen and plan to live in Aged Care Service in China for retirement.

How to apply residence permit if I want to stay for a year or longer?

As I know, only those working or studying in China can get a residence permit. In your case, it's quite difficult. Sorry for that:(

Do you have any Chinese relatives? If so, try to find others ways in this direction to stay long in China. Also, it's possible for those having a real-estate in China to stay long here.
