what year is 2023 in the Chinese ancient calendar /

Not the sign but year.......is it 5021????

I know what you mean. But the Chinese ancient calendar is not successive. Actually, when a new emperor got the throne, a new calendar was used in ancient China, like Zhenguan 5th year is the 5th year Taizong of Tang Dynasty on the throne.

In ancient China, people also used Heavenly Stems and Earthly Branches to calculate years, which is in a 60-year circle.
