Entry to Mainland China from Hong Kong

Is it possible, if you have a family visa, to fly form Los Angeles to Hong Kong, and then travel from Hong Kong to mainland China? For example, fly to Hong Kong, quarantine at Hong Kong hotel, then travel to Wuhan or Guangzhou, and then quarantine there?

I want to marry my Chinese fiance by video, and then apply for a family visa, and travel to China and see her as a husband/family member.

Yes, it's possible. But why don't you enter mainland directly so as to be quarantined for only one time?

Also airfare from USA to Hong Kong is much cheaper than USA to mainland China. Its cheaper to fly to Hong Kong first then fly to mainland China. Fly direct to China is extremely expensive now.
