About:Chinese Embassies and Consulates

for Q1 visa, we needs proof of relationship,

for Q1 visa, we needs proof of relationship, how do we do that. I am UK citizen, originally Chinese citizen. I need to go back to China to visit my father who is seriously ill. How do i gat proof of relationship? Do they have to go to local police? But my name is not on the register in China. I find it very difficult to proof.

When you were still a Chinese citizen, your information should be recorded. You can contact the public security bureau or civil affairs department of your previous place of residence to issue a certificate for you.
