Two-month visa extension

I'm a teacher with a residence permit that will expire in two months. I was due to depart with my dog in July , but the new CDC requirements have prevented that. I must stay until October in order to complete all of the tests. I'm getting a letter from the vet today. Any chance I'll be successful in applying for an extension?

It's possible for you to get a temporary visa to stay for longer days, instead of extending the current residence permit.
