About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Two transits through China

Hi, is it possible to fly from UK to Shanghai, stay over for 1 night in Shanghai, then fly from Shanghai to Tokyo.
Then, after 30 days return from Tokyo to Shanghai, stay 1 night in Shanghai and then get a connecting flight back to UK from Shanghai?
