Want to extend my student visa for 2 months

I need to extend my student visa for 2 months so my pet can leave with me. The school won’t help. What can I do?

If your school is end, you can only renew the student visa to a temporary type and stay for longer time.

You can always go to the Entry Exit Administration Bureau and present your case. Don't do it on the phone, you won't get the answer. If you go there, ask a supervisor. I went twice, the first time they directed me to an ordinary officer (because there was a long line at the inquiry window), and she couldn't give me a definite answer. The second time, the officer at the inquiry window, a supervisor, would have given me a visa right away. They will certainly ask for a letter from the vet, at least. I guess you would get a S2 visa, and they can be for over a month. Two months shouldn't be a problem if they think the reason for applying is justified. I am talking based on the experience I have with getting S2 visas for medical reason. Another possible place to ask is shanghaiexitentry.com, a site maintained by just one person, with good information.
