currently on a 30 day(s) tourist visa and would very much like to extend it

Hello, I am currently on a 30 day(s) tourist visa and would very much like to extend it here in China. Is that possible and if so, how may I go about it and any documentations needed ?

Hello, Ros. You can try to submit your application to the local Exit and Entrance Administration of China 7 days before the current visa expires, and you have the chance to be approved. Remember to bring your passport, the application form with a recent color photo, and the travel itinerary. BTW, the extended stay will not exceed the original stay duration on your visa.
