About:Marriage Registration in China

Chinese visa application after spouse death

My Chinese husband was recently diagnosed with a progressive disease. We have 1 child with Chinese citizenship. When my husband dies can I still apply for a visa to stay in China to be with my child or will I have to go back to my home country, America?
