About:China Student Visa

Need an X visa

Hi! I went to the immigration office in Shanghai today to get my student visa done. They told me that they would just extend my stay in China for 15 more days and the supervisor also said that I'll have to leave China to apply for my X visa and then come back. So I want to go to HK as everyone goes there to get their visas. Does that mean I can get an X visa? My university said they would help me but we're not sure it will work.

Yanks, currently, it is not easy to get a mainland China visa in Hong Kong. You can have a try, but I must say the result is not assured.
