About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Can I use TOWV x 240 hrs?

I will be arriving to Shanghai on 09/26/ 25 and will go to Zhianjiajie. On 10/01/25 I will leave to Seoul. Then I will go from Seoul to Xi'an on 10/06/25 and will leave from Beijing to Usa, thru Canada on 10/12/25. Do I need an standar visa or can I use the TWOV on both entries?

Pats, you have forgotten to inform us about the country you are arriving into mainland China during your first arrival, in Shanghai. If you arrive from the country different than South Korea, this is fine since your destination after mainland China will be South Korea. Also, when arriving in Shanghai you are not allowed to have any kind of landing in South Korea. To conclude, if your whole itinerary is: US or Canada - mainland China - South Korea - mainland China - Canada - US, you are definitely eligible for 240 hour visa free transit - twice and you do not need any kind of visa.
