Switching from student visa to tourist.

If I’m currently on a student visa that expires January can I switch to a tourist visa after without leaving the country. Are there options for tourist visas that last longer than a month?

Hannah, generally speaking, you can get a one-month tourist visa at most. It's not very likely to change your student visa to a tourist visa that lasts longer than a month.
