About:Chinese Embassies and Consulates

I have only 3 pages in passport left. Due to covid issue I cannot be able to get flight

I have 3 blank pages left. I apolied for stay visa which will expire on 30th Aug. Again i need to apply for visa as i cannot get the flight. If they grant me another 30days visa then it will expired on end of sep. If still not get tge flight then i have only two blank pages in passport. I dont know whether i need to apply fir new passport as this process also require more than 30days means my visa will expired.

You can apply for a new passport. After you get this new passport, go to the local exit and entry administration to transfer your visa to the new passport.

Hello Rajesh,

I know of a friend, a university student, whose passport expired in April 2020 but he was unable to travel to Beijing in order to get it renewed at his country’s embassy due to COVID-19. As far as I know, the immigration office (PSB) has been quite generous to him and has been granting him temporary 1 month residence permits (YES, that too without any valid passport). It seems your case is not as severe as his as your passport is still valid but you’re only about to exhaust your blank pages. Just keep in touch with the Indian embassy/consulate and also keep the PSB updated incase you’re not able to physically go and get your passport renewed on time. My advice is just be transparent and honest to the PSB and they’ll sort you out somehow if your case is compelling enough.

At present, you can go to Beijing. The things are different from those in April.
