About:Chinese Permanent Residence Permit

1. How to cancel Temp Residency granted w/out one parent's consent. How to Object to further Applic

Hi I'm Australian. My child's mother (also Australian) took my child (aged under 5 and Australian too) to China and applied for a temporary Residency Permit without my Consent. Is there a way to apply to have it cancelled. She will probably be making another Application for either temporary or permanent residency for the child soon - is there a way that I can lodge an Objection to any further Visas or Residency Permits being granted for my son?

Does anyone know what the position is in China on granting any Visas Residency Permits under the current Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation? (I have heard that they aren't renewing any Visa TR Permits for foreigners - is this true?)

Sorry, as this problem is a little complicated, I think you may need to turn to a lawer for help.

If your wife has already entered China, it's possible to renew the temporary residence permit within China.

Hmmmm…...I am a lawyer :-)

She's not my wife, never has been.

I was aware that under normal circumstances she could renew the visa, but my question was whether the situation is the same now under COVID (ie Coronavirus).

Yes, I get that - they are required by everyone.

The question is not whether they are required....the question is are they still issuing them, or to put the corollary, is it the case that in the COVID situation they are not renewing them, effectively forcing foreigners to leave and go home?
