About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

I residing at New York am holding US passport plan to visit Hong Kong and Japan then back to US.

I would like to visit Shenzhen when I in Hong Kong before I go to Japan from Hong Kong. Please advise Am I qualified for transit without visa?

Japan, Hong Kong and China is closed for US tourists.
