S2 visa to S1 residence while in China.

Good day everyone I'm currently in China on S2 visa(Spousal visa) my wife works as a teacher here in China, got into China January to visit but due to the issue I couldnt go back home but right now I decided to stay for long, what's are my chances of getting S1 residence permit while in china without exiting the country, has anyone been through same process as well.
