About:Requirements for Permanent Residence Permit

What visa can I apply for as a foreigner and a Chinese wife

My wife is a Chinese national, I am Canadian (62). We are both expats living in the Philippines. I currently hold a Category "L" China visa but which only entitles me to a max of 60 days in China. We plan to now relocate to China where her family resides. What China visa (or status, like a residency permit) may I apply for which enables me to remain in China (for retirement), or at least longer than only 60 days? Thank you.

You can appply for a Q1 visa. With it, you can get a temporary residence permit of China.

How long is the Q1 visa valid for and can multiple entries to China be made with this visa or only a limited number?
Thanks

It is valid for three months, but you can change it to a residence permit, which usually lasts for one year. During the year, you can make multiple entries to China.
