About:China Visa Renewal and Extension

Currently in China and need to extend visa because of COVID-19

I'm currently in China on a 10 year 60 day tourist visa, and I need to leave by May 10th. However, I can't go back to my home country due to a very high amount of COVID cases and very few flights. How can I extend the visa to stay longer in China?

Your duration of stay will be automatically extended for 60 days. You don't need to do anything. Contact your local NIA office if you want official confirmation.
