About:Marriage Registration in China

Still need translation if issues from embassy in Beijing?

I will be getting the affidavit of marriageability from the US embassy in Beijing, as I am already in China. Do I still need a translation of that document? The embassy website also doesn’t say anything about the birth certificate as being a requirement for the marriage certificate. Is the birth certificate actually needed?

The affidavit of marriageability needs to be translated in order to register your marriage in China. Generally speaking, birth certificate is not required for this issue.
