Transition between T2 and T1

I will arrive at T2 from Melbourne and have a long stopover before my connection flight to Germany. I would like to use the sleeping capsules in T1.
Do I need to check out and in again between the terminals?

So you need to leave the restricted area? Then you will need to get a 24-hour visa-free entry permit at the border inspection counter. And yes, you need to check in and out.
