Converting a tourist visa to a Z visa

Hi, how can I transfer my tourist visa to a Z visa without having to go to Hong Kong? I believe that if I go to Hong Kong I will be placed in quarantine for 14 days.. Is that true? Please help with advice.

If your petition for a work permit has gone through then the local NIA has jurisdiction to issue a work-based residence permit but that is up to their policy. Anyone entering HK from Mainland China will face a mandatory 14-day quarantine at one of the quarantine centers. This 14-day period will count against your 90-day visa-free stay per entry.

Do I need a tax receipt for my work visa extension? I work under a company that renew my visa.

That is up to the local NIA office but they do have the authority to do so. It would be best to have your company's HR or whomever's responsible to contact them.
