Tourist Visa Entry Refusal

My Chinese visa was issued but was denied entry into China at the airport, I was arranged for a returning flight back home on the same day.. does this mean I can't return to China ? Does this mean I've been blacklisted?
until when can I reapply for the tourist visa if it's possible in the future.

I think you may have been blacklisted. If it's the real case, you may be banned for five years.

it was at the peak of covid19 outbreak... so presumably it was because of the outbreak and more so it was a tourist visa.. My contact in China says that no one blacklisted can get a visa in the first place
