About:Overstaying in China & Penalty

I went to the administration of entry and exists

And the personnel kind of didn’t want to extend my visa (X2) when i went to explain that my flight that was supposed to depart today but was cancelled and i had to bought another one but it departs on the 5th (i was didn’t notice my last day was the 4th but there was no other flight anyway) but they told me that i have to go to airport and explain then there and they will decide my situation? Honestly it was so confusing and i cannot fix anything because they told me they need to see my boarding pass, so it’s risking it to my last day available because i cannot have a boarding pass but 24h before the flight. Anyone knows about this? I thought the bureau was the one expediting the extensions?

Usually a 1-day overstay is not something an EEA staff is willing to handle given that you can simply pay a fine at the airport (most of the time they will not even give you a fine). However this is a situation you want to avoid entirely, given that citizens from some countries already have a hard enough time getting visas and the overstay may mean that they would not receive a visa in a long time. Contact the airline to see if you can leave a day earlier than later.
