What to do if your permit is soon expiring when you’re in country !?

because of the epidemic school was closed and immigration offices were also closed so we had to go back in our countries For safety but my resident permit is soon expiring
My question is if I go to china embassy in my country do I have to apply again for visa as I did when I applied for the first time
What I’m supposed to do

As of now no new policy is announced, which means you still need to submit a fresh application for a X visa outside China.

Yes, you need to apply again for a visa as you did when you applied for the first time.
