About:Overstaying in China & Penalty

entry/exit

Hello, Can I get some kind of visa extension easily for my entry period or is it worth rebooking flights out and into China and ? I'm trying to set up a job that provides me with a work visa in Beijing. I currently have a tourist visa. I don't think this will happen before my next exit/entry is due on my visa (2 year multiple entry/can stay in China for 90 days at a time). I booked flights to Seoul and back but they've just been cancelled. Where do I go to solve this problem? The British Embassy in Beijing seems to be closed.

As of now they are handing out 30 day humanitarian visas for people whose stay will be up in a month. The wise choice is to leave immediately, however, as this thing has not yet reached its peak. Currently Cathay Pacific and Thai still have flights leaving Mainland China from large cities including Beijing.

At present, it's possible to get a visa extension and possible to change a tourist visa into a work visa in China.

Who do I need to contact to get the extension? I have called several offices in an attempt to extend my visa due to the epidemic. None of the offices I’ve called are able to help. An email address would also work. I live in Shenyang

The National Immigration Administration is the one you are looking for although you will have to visit in person. They cannot extend your stay without you and your passport.

Is there anything that prevents you from leaving?
