Our clients have cancelled their trip to China due to Coronavirus. Accomodation and flights has been refunded however chinese embassy in South Africa wants to hold passport and force payment on a visa which cannot be used. That is extremely bad for future business to China. Please advise on reason for attempting to enforce payments on a visa in these situations.Very bad reflection on China

Dear, actually, whether you will use the visa, you must pay for it because the consular officers have worked on it. And the truth is that you can use this visa to enter China during its validity as soon as the virus situation ends.
