tourist visa

I leave the UK on the 27th February but I do not arrive to China until the 17th April. I want to process my tourist visa prior to going. Can I apply for a 6 month tourist visa early February to ensure my Visa does not expire before I reach China? Do I also need train/bus tickets on top of my hotel bookings?

Jess, if you apply for a single entry visa, it's almost impossible to get a 6 month tourist visa. You need to provide return tickets on top of your hotel bookings.
