About:240-hour Visa-free Transit in Beijing, Tianjin & Hebei

staying with family in Beijing

staying for five days in beijing with family, i have confirmed onward ticket to bangkok, do i need a letter of invitation from my cousin in beijing to present to chinese immigration ?

If your travel route is USA - Beijing - Bangkok, then you can enjoy the 144 hours visa free policy. You don't need a letter of invitation from your cousin.
