About:China Visa

Shanghai Visa

We are a group of 8 British tourists arriving in to Shanghai by cruise ship in April staying in a hotel for 2 nights and then flying back to the UK from Shanghai via Dubai. Do we need to obtain a visa? If not is there any other documentation we need to complete before our trip.

No if your port of call before Shanghai is in a different country. Immigration will need to see the confirmations for your outbound flight with the ticket number, and your accomodation information in Shanghai which you need to indicate on the visa waiver application.
